As I write and premiere new works each year, most of it remains uncirculated due to the most critical, but most difficult element: Demo recordings.
Demos play an invaluable role in propagating new music by giving both performers and listeners alike the casual opportunity to experience it. Sheet music cannot be published effectively without them, nor can it be circulated on YouTube or Spotify to reach new listeners.
But I suspect I'm preaching to the choir here.
I will now be opening my entire new and unpublished catalogue, consisting both of premiered and unpremiered manuscripts, to interested parties for publisher-quality demo recordings. Any ensemble which has access to adequate audio equipment and an ability to interpret these new works at a high artistic level and in line with the composer's intent are welcome to submit their interest directly by emailing daniel@danieleldermusic.com.
Any potential collaboration will need to be reviewed, but if your ensemble's capability matches a work I need recorded, I will be offering $500 per track for publisher-quality demos. These will be works-for-hire, but your ensemble will be fully credited for your performance on all platforms shared. I hope this offering may prove valuable to some of your ensembles who could use such funds and exposure.
